Run-Over (Armada)
| This article is about the Armada Mini-Con. For the Beast Wars: Uprising Micromaster, see Run-Over (BWU). |
- Run-Over is a Unicron-allied Mini-Con from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Run-Over is one of the personal attendants of Nemesis Prime. Like Nemesis, he appears to be little more than a near-mindless clone (using the Mini-Con Over-Run as a template), whose sole purpose is to destroy. Though weaker than Nemesis, he shares many of the same abilities, including the ability to assume trans-phase mode to repair damage or teleport.[1]

Linkage
[edit]Run-Over was used in rifle mode by Nemesis Prime during one of his planet-destroying missions. Linkage Part 11
Dreamwave Armada comic
[edit]Run-Over existed as a semi-autonomous piece of Nemesis Prime created at the same time as his larger component by Unicron on a barren world. He was perhaps created because of Over-Run's significance to Unicron, but this is only an assumption. When Nemesis Prime was destroyed by the Transformers, there was no sign of Run-Over; he may have reformed, allowing the possibility of Nemesis Prime himself returning. Toys
[edit]Armada
[edit]

- Nemesis Prime with Run-Over (Super-Con, 2003)
- Takara name: Scourge
- Known designers: Joe Kyde (deco artist, Takara only)
- A redeco of the Mini-Con Over-Run, Armada Run-Over transforms into a Cybertronic spacefighter. As a Mini-Con, he has a "Powerlinx" socket on his vehicle-mode underside which allows him to attach to any toy with a "Powerlinx" style 5 mm post; some toys have special Powerlinx posts that activate/unlock gimmicks when a Mini-Con is attached. He also has a third transformation, forming a rifle that can be held by any toy that uses 5 mm ports to mount accessories.
- He was only available with his larger partner Nemesis Prime, released in the eighth and final wave of Armada Super-Cons.
- In Japan, Nemesis Prime and Run-Over were only available as a mail-away item from TV Magazine (limited to 5000 pieces) under the names Scourge (a nod to Hasbro's Robots in Disguise Scourge) and Sweep (a nod to the Generation 1 Sweeps, the original Scourge's minions).
- As he is gang-molded with Nemesis/Scourge, Sweep in now cast is a flat light gray plastic rather than Over-Run's tan (but still distinct from Over-Run's pearlescent silver base plastic). He also keeps Over-Run's wing stripes (though now in purple), paint operations which the Hasbro Run-Over lost.
- The Hasbro version of this toy doubles as the Beast Wars: Uprising character Run-Over.
Notes
[edit]- Run-Over's Japanese name "Sweep" is a reference to the Sweeps, the minions of Generation 1 Scourge... because Nemesis Prime was named "Scourge" in Japan, after the American name for Black Convoy, the evil black Prime redeco from the 2001 Robots in Disguise franchise. And that, my friends, is the definition of confusing.
Foreign names
[edit]- Japanese: Sweep (スウィープ Suwīpu)
