Notes

[edit]
  • Characters mentioned in the Animated tech specs include: Perceptor, Project Omega, Safeguard, and Soundwave.
  • Characters mentioned in Blackarachnia's bio include: Alpha Trion, Nightscream, Scavenger, Immorticon, Silverbolt, Rattrap, Rhinox, Optimus Primal, and Cheetor.
    • Blackarachnia's bio introduces the framework for the eventual Beast Wars: Uprising storyline; a world in which the Autobots and Decepticons, their functionality long gone, create the Maximals and Predacons for the purposes of a "proxy war". The language in Blackarachnia's bio seems to indicate she was involved in actual combat, and it almost certainly was meant to be; later stories would retcon that the "proxy war" was more akin to the gladiatorial combat seen in various pieces of Transformers fiction.
    • Rattrap is mentioned along with Rhinox and Silverbolt as having been killed in combat, but "Alone Together: Prologue" would eventually show he managed to survive.
    • Blackarachnia and the rest are noted to have been put into TransTech bodies, much like Bulletbike in "I, Lowtech".
    • Blackarachnia's TransTech body can make webs of Energon Z, the fuel source seen in the Zone franchise.
  • Characters mentioned in Topspin's bio include: Jhiaxus, Alpha Trion, and Skyfall.
    • Topspin is noted to have served under Jhiaxus in his home dimension; exactly which Jhiaxus is unknown, but it seems likely to be a variant of the Marvel Generation 2 comics version.
  • Characters mentioned in Whisper's bio include: Optimus Prime, Nightflight, Storm Cloud, Tailwind, Megatron, and Sideswipe.
    • Whisper is noted to be the brother of Nightflight, Storm Cloud, and Tailwind; their positive universe counterparts are all teammates in the Air Strike Patrol. Of the three brothers, only Tailwind has ever shown up outside Whisper's bio, as one of Astrotrain's Micromaster partners.
    • Sideswipe has nicknamed Whisper "Mini-Con".
  • Art used in the recap includes Skyfall (from "Balancing Act, Part 2", pencils by Dan Khanna, inks by Terry Pallot and Chuck Gibson, colors by Espen Grundetjern), Classics Megatron (from "Crossing Over, Part 1", pencils by Dan Khanna, inks by Terry Pallot, colors by Krista Ward and Joe Givens), Breakaway (from "Crossing Over: Part 4", pencils by Dan Khanna, inks by Terry Pallot and Jake Isenberg, colors by Josh Perez), and Topspin (from "Transcendent: Part 4", pencils by Evan Gauntt, inks by Jake Isenberg, colors by Josh Perez).
  • The first four issues of this year each feature a whopping three More than Meets the Eye profiles. This is the only one in which all three are full-size - in issues #26-28, the second profile (a combiner of some sort) is extended while the third one (a Recordicon) takes up less than half the page.
  • Around Cybertron moves to the, ahem, 'Shatteredverse' with this issue.
