Daniel Arseneault

Daniel Arseneault, screenname Protoman, (born May 27) is a Canadian Transformers superfan, known for being a former staff member in the twice-yearly Canadian and U.S. fan convention TFcon. Relevant to this wiki, Arseneault contributed to the writing of BotCon and Club character bios during the latter years of Fun Publications' tenure of the license.
Outside of Transformers, he is a licensed car mechanic and in 2025 it was annouced that Daniel would begin writing the ongoing Mega Man X Timelines comic at UDON.

- Daniel Arseneault is to Hot Rod what David Willis is to Hot Shot, and Randy Para (and Thew Adams!) are to Skywarp. Doubt not the colossal quantity of his collection.
- Outside of Hot Rod, his other favourite characters in the franchise include Nitro Convoy, Road King, Shockwave, Brawn, Pointblank and just about anything Beast Wars.
- His first Transformers figure was the original Generation One Blaster.
- Derrick J. Wyatt put a bit of Daniel's likeness into the Animated Rodimus Prime design, most specifically the popped collar.
- He also currently hosts the Transformers Slag podcast and also co-hosts The Toy Armada with Aaron Archer, who he is also the handler for at numerous TFCon appearances.
- His imitation of a British accent is one of the funniest things you've ever heard.
