Silver Knight (AOE)

The Silver Knights are a group from the Age of Extinction portion of the movie continuity family.

A Silver Knight is a Transformer who has undergone an upgrade that takes them to peak physical and mental performance, allowing them to face threats that they would be unable to in their normal form.

Numerous Optimus Prime toys in the Age of Extinction toyline were given Silver Knight redecoes.

Notes

• Silver Knight Optimus was an unused concept from Age of Extinction, where it was intended to be an upgrade for Optimus Prime; though unused in the movie itself, it was apparently kept for long enough that it was heavily used in the toyline.
  • The final concept design for Silver Knight Optimus, which featured on various packaging art and his Kre-O figure, possess four round dimples on the chest that somewhat resemble the design of the outfit of the Marvel Comics character, Thor.
  • Other, ostensibly silver, knights also appeared in concept art by Josh Nizzi. Statues (or based on Lockdown's speech, possibly bodies) of whom can be seen inside the prison of the Knight's Temenos. Among their number is also a mysterious axe-wielding "Black Knight". Curiously, several of the Dinobots received "Black Knight" redecoes.
