Asao Takahashi

Asao Takahashi (高橋朝雄) was a Japanese illustrator, animator and director who worked on a wide variety of productions including Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, Mazinger Z, and a variety of entries in the Mobile Suit Gundam mega-franchise. In the world of the Transformers, he contributed to the story pages for the Scramble City subline of the original Generation 1 franchise in his capacity as a member of Studio OX as well as lending his animation talents to the Generation 1 cartoon. He passed away in 2014.
