The Skyboom Mini-Cons make a deal.

Synopsis

Megatron "asks" the Skyboom Mini-Cons if they'll help him find the Requiem Blaster. Wheeljack reminds the reluctant trio that they have a common interest in keeping both them and the Blaster out of the Entity's hands. Mirage and Downshift debate with Dirt Boss over the matter, citing that, even with how their last deal with the Decepticons went, they don't have any other way to protect themselves. They combine into the Skyboom and fall into Megatron's hands. The weapon reacts with the Dark Saber, allowing Breakdown Prime to pinpoint the Requiem Blaster's location—and it's in their universe!

(Numbers indicate order of appearance.)

Gameplay

This event was an individual totaliser on the Mayhem gamemode, meaning players unlocked points on their own as opposed to with their Alliance. As a Mayhem event, each battle was still won by destroying the HQ, but instead of the rest of the buildings and defenses being destroyed upon them doing so, they could continuing destroying the remaining structures until the 3-minute timer is up to gain additional points. The one caveat is that these bases cost a whopping 15 fuel cells to raid, compared to alternative, easier (but lower-rewarding) 5-fuel-cell-worth bases in the same zones.

The top prize was a No Dupe 4-star Crystal.

Notes

Continuity notes

Transformers references

  • The use of Skyboom and Dark Saber to locate the Requiem Blaster is akin to when the Skyboom and Star Saber were used to reactivate two of the weapon's Mini-Con components in the Armada episode "Desperate."

Errors

  • This event's one-and-done (notably Decepticon-centric) story dialogue was labeled "Alliances and Allegiances [Part 2 of 2]," seemingly indicating the previous week's dialogues were initially composed in the usual 'Bot-then-'Con format and no-one remembered to update the titles when it was split across two events.
