Fiction

One film

Hound was aboard the train D-16 and Orion Pax took on their way to work, greeting D-16 with a light nod of his head as he walked past.

Much later, after Orion—now rechristened Optimus Prime—rejuvenated Cybertron's energon supply with the Matrix of Leadership and returned all the miners' transformation cogs, Hound presumably received a cog and gained the ability to transform as well.

Released as part of the Blokees' One-themed Galaxy Version blind boxes, this Hound is a 4.25-inch-tall non-transforming buildable figure, appearing once in every case of nine blind boxes. Like the rest of his wave, Hound features an upgraded suite of standard body parts, including a new torso frame with an integrated neck ball joint, sturdier pre-assembled hinge joints, and slightly more complex builds, such as the color-coded face and eyes introduced in the second wave. He also features a new pair of forearm parts with underslung peg holes (meant for placing the Tracker's arm-mounted guns) instead of being outwards on the side. Hound includes the usual pairs of gripping fists and open hands, a laser pistol, and a two-studded connectable figure stand.
If you're a speed builder, be mindful when attaching the pre-assembled joints; unlike the symmetrical joints from earlier waves, the panels are slightly asymmetrical at the joint's hinged sections, meant to be attached onto specific limbs (upper arms/thighs and forearms/lower legs). While an incorrect knee joint assembly may cause it to very slightly lean when standing straight or in an A-stance, an incorrect elbow assembly won't be noticeably affected unless you're looking very closely. The instruction manual also shows the correct orientation for assembling the joint, although the small size and slight fuzziness make it somewhat difficult to see.
Hound shares his body parts with wave-mate Ironhide, effectively a new-head redeco of his fellow miner.
