Activate Your Alt Mode
Announced at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25, 2025 alongside a video[1] uploaded to the Hasbro Pulse YouTube channel announcing the next fan vote, with franchise-legend Frank Welker explaining that the winner of the vote was to receive a new toy with a fan-selected alternate mode. The options were briefly shown in the video, but more information was revealed on the Transformers Instagram on August 11.[2]
The voting was held using Instagram's poll feature and was split into 3 rounds over the course of 16 days. The first round started on August 12 to decide which character would receive a new alt-mode, starting with the Autobot contenders[3] and moving to the Decepticons[4] the following day. Grimlock and Shockwave won their respective votes[5][6] and were put against each other on August 14, with Shockwave announced as the winner the next day.[7]
Round 2 began on August 18 and ran for three days to determine which alt-mode direction would be chosen, out of Land, Air, Sea, and Wildcard. Wildcard was in the lead for the first day, but was quickly overtaken by sea, announced as the winner on August 22
