My Little Pony/Transformers: The Magic of Cybertron is a four-issue crossover comic miniseries that ran from April to July 2021. The sequel to 2020's Friendship in Disguise!, it reunites the Autobots and Decepticons with the cast of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Like its predecessor, each issue contains two different stories.

Overview

[edit]

In the aftermath of their failed invasion, the Decepticons begin stealing magic artifacts from Equestria via spacebridge to aid in their conquest. When Twilight Sparkle and her friends travel to Cybertron and attempt to stop their operation, they accidentally trigger the resurrection of King Sombra, who places Transformer and pony alike under his control. Now the Autobots, Decepticons and ponies who evaded Sombra's magic must prevent him from raising his new army and conquering both worlds.

Creative team

[edit]

Nearly all of the previous miniseries' creative team return for the sequel, including writers James Asmus, Ian Flynn, and Sam Maggs, and artists Casey Coller, Jack Lawrence, Priscilla Tramontano, and Tony Fleecs, now joined by fellow My Little Pony comic artist Trish Forstner. As before, Fleecs provides cover art for every issue, with Beth McGuire-Smith providing all the Cover B variants[1]; meanwhile the Retail Incentive covers (sans issue 1) were done by Adam Bryce Thomas.
