The Liegian Darts are the artifact of the Liege Maximo. The darts contained powerful toxins designed to incapacitate Maximo's foes in various ways once they entered the body.

Liege Maximo used his darts to poison Unicron during the Thirteen's war with the Chaos-Bringer, although they didn't hurt Unicron nearly as much as Maximo's acid tongue. The Covenant of Primus

Liege Maximo had Hot Rod use one of the Liegian Darts to recreate the Emberstone by drawing the power out of Robby Malto's and Mo Malto's cyber-sleeves. Later, Liege Maximo used the Liegian Darts to battle Optimus Prime when he made an escape from Liege's base.
In order to control Cybertron's remaining transformers, Liege had also embedded one of the darts in the AllSpark in order to cause it to leach life from everyone on the planet's surface. This allowed Liege Maximo to strictly control the transformers' supply of Energon.
