Scorponok's worst enemy is himself.
Synopsis
[edit]The war between the Maximals and Predacons continues! As Optimus Primal and Rattrap clash with Beast Megatron, Primal remarks that Megatron was unwise to challenge them alone. But Megatron retorts that he isn't alone, prompting Scorponok to burst from the ground below where he had been hiding the entire time! Transforming into robot mode, Scorponok immediately puts the Maximals on the defensive with his poisonous stinger tail, missiles, and cyberbee drone. Megatron lavishes Scorponok with praises, which Scorponok gladly soaks up as he happily wags his tail like a dog... and accidentally stings the back of his own head with his stinger. He immediately flies into a panic, thinking another enemy has attacked him from behind. A frustrated Megatron orders the cyberbee drone to help pull Scorponok's stinger out of his head, but it apparently slips his mind that the cyberbee is an explosive weapon until the drone latches onto his outstretched hand and explodes. The Maximals watch in confused satisfaction as their clumsy enemies defeat themselves in a spectacular fireball.

[edit]- This story was published as the May 2024 issue of the web comic and advertised Studio Series Rise of the Beasts Scorponok, the War for Cybertron: Kingdom figures of Beast Megatron, Optimus Primal, and Rattrap, the the newly released "Transformers Archive" encyclopedia, and first collected edition of Go! Go!.
Transformers references
[edit]- Oda keeps to her usual toy accurate stylings for Beast Wars Scorponok's debut, giving him a character model based on his War for Cybertron: Kingdom figure, as discernible via details such as the singular red eyes of his Cyberbee and his red inner claws.
