Ironhide and Chromia's love can overcome any hardship, from their busy schedules to conniving Seekers.
Synopsis
[edit]Chromia is a busy girl, working tirelessly alongside Ultra Magnus to defend the Autobots' headquarters on Cybertron. All that work makes it hard for her to spend time with her beloved boyfriend Ironhide, who's likewise busy serving as Optimus Prime's bodyguard on Earth. However, that only means their love for each other is stronger than ever when they finally do get to go out on a date.
Unfortunately for the couple, this particular outing doesn't go as smoothly as they hope – Starscream has blown up the energon diner they were about to visit into a smoking ruin and stolen all its energon! Ironhide rushes in to help the civilians evacuate, but that's when another bomb from Starscream collapses the structure further and traps him inside. The Seeker himself blocks Chromia from going to Ironhide's aid, mocking her small stature and raining a barrage of missiles on her. As Chromia reels from his relentless onslaught, Starscream even insults Chromia's taste in men by remarking that he can't believe she's dating a slowpoke who can't even fly.
This is a very big mistake.
Jabs at her own self Chromia can take, but no one makes fun of her boyfriend and gets away with it. Starscream rapidly realizes his folly when his null-ray blasts bounce harmlessly off the fiery aura of pure rage surrounding Chromia. He attempts to make a hasty escape, but Chromia grabs him by the ankles and gives him a thorough thrashing worthy of the Hulk. She throws the battered and beaten Seeker far, far away just as Ironhide manages to extricate himself from the rubble and join her. But when Ironhide promptly checks if she's unharmed and tells her he's so lucky to have a girlfriend as beautiful and strong as her, Chromia gets so flustered she punches him straight through two buildings and into a third! That is how Optimus Prime and Bumblebee discover him, still lodged in the crater on the wall, but Ironhide's just happy he got to experience Chromia's love for him with his whole body. D'awwwwwww.

[edit]- This story was published as the November 2024 issue of the web comic and advertised Legacy "Cyberverse Universe Chromia," the Transformers Fan Book 2024, and the first collected edition of Go! Go!.
Transformers references
[edit]- Chromia makes her Go! Go! debut with a character model based on the toy being advertised as is author Haruka Oda's wont, rendering her a repurpose of her Cyberverse incarnation like Windblade before her back in June.
- Chromia and Ironhide's lovey dovey relationship here is pulled all the way back from her first appearance in the Generation 1 cartoon episode "The Search for Alpha Trion."
