Hot Rod enjoys the traditional Japanese festival activity of kicking Decepticon butt.
Synopsis
[edit]While on patrol, Ultra Magnus and Hot Rod come across an Obon Festival. Despite Ultra Magnus' hesitancy, Hot Rod is eager to take in the festival's many activities, dragging his superior with him. However, the fun and games stop once Hot Rod discovers Starscream stuffing the fireworks with bombs adorned with Decepticon symbols, presumably for nefarious purposes. Hot Rod punts the Air Commander and his bombs high into the air with a mighty punch, where he explodes in a magnificent fireball. Hot Rod congratulates himself on a successful patrol, much to the confusion of Ultra Magnus.

[edit]- This story was published as the September 2022 issue of the web comic and re-ran the ads for our heroes' respective Kingdom Ultra Magnus and Studio Series '86 Hot Rod figures.
- This issue was pulled from the TV Magazine website after the publication of the first collected edition of Go! Go! in July 2023, presumably to motivate sales of the physical release, despite... not actually being collected in the first volume of Go! Go!.
