Charlie Adler (born October 2, 1956), sometimes credited as Charles Adler, is an American voice actor and voice director. Some of his best known characters include Buster Bunny on Tiny Toon Adventures, Low Light on G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Cobra Commander, Flint, Stalker and Gung-Ho on G.I. Joe: Resolute, Cobra Commander again on G.I. Joe: Renegades, Snively Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog, T-Bone in SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron, Doctor Doom in Marvel Super Hero Squad, the Super-Skrull in Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, Ickis in Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Ed Bighead and his wife Bev in Rocko's Modern Life, and practically the entire cast of Cow and Chicken (thus making him the King — and Queen — of Cheese), and, jeez, the list goes on. He gets around.

He is also a voice director, in which his credits include the Rugrats movies (taking over for Keythe Farley, who did the original series) and the sequel series All Grown Up, The Wild Thornberrys and their feature film, The Replacements, Dante's Inferno: An Animated Epic, Dead Space: Downfall, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Rocket Power and Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinty Gauntlet game.

Adler's portrayals of Starscream in the sequels versus the first film and video game versions of Revenge of the Fallen are vastly different. While in the sequels Starscream's voice is neurotic and whiny, the first film and Revenge of the Fallen video game voice is dark and sinister, magnified greatly by some crazy heavy electronic amplification that pushes Adler's voice to the point of being virtually unrecognizable. To draw a more direct comparison, his voice in the first film and Revenge of the Fallen game sounds more like the movie version of Megatron than Frank Welker does! Strangely enough, they seem to have kept his unmodified Starscream voice for phrases spoken by the G1 incarnation of the character during multiplayer.
In regards to Starscream's legacy left behind by the late Chris Latta, Adler admitted that he didn't know about it until much later during the Revenge of the Fallen DVD/Blu-ray release press junket, other than to try to honor the writing and the portrayal. While Adler felt that he might not have given the homage that was expected of Starscream, he felt that fully imitating Latta would've done more harm than good.<ref>Voice Actor Panel coverage at Allspark.com (archive copy)</ref>
