Starscream clone (Animated)

Starscream's clones are an army of physically identical copies of Starscream. They have all of his abilities, with the added bonus of being extremely disposable. While there seem to be a large number of mass produced clones, a handful have appeared which carry AllSpark energy signatures, different colour schemes and seem to embody various elements of Starscream's personality. How these clones were created is a mystery, all that is known is that an army of Starscreams cannot lead to anything good.
Individual clones
Coward
A clone with a mainly purple body, with gray extremities, leaning to a "cool" version of Starscream's normal colours. This Starscream embodies the original's cowardly side, although it seems to have been greatly enhanced. He bolted after Lockdown and Prowl tracked him down, but Prowl was able to take him out of the air. He then begged not to be given to Megatron, but as Prowl explained he was going to be given to the Elite Guard, Lockdown tied Prowl up and ran off with him and took him to Megatron. As Megatron was about to make an example of him, the Autobots arrived with the other Starscream, prompting a Mexican standoff. He had a bomb implanted in his spark chamber, and was used as bait to draw all of Starscream's enemies to one spot. Sadly, he did not push anyone down a flight of stairs during his brief existence.
Manipulator
A clone with a reddish-brown and off-white coloration, leaning towards a "hot" interpretation of Starscream's colors, he is also Starscream's scheming, manipulative nature incarnate. It even went so far as making a rather grandiose speech about taking Megatron out...for the good of peace. When Prowl took him down with a sneak attack, he also lauded the underhanded move, further horrifying Prowl (who had done some damage to the city while showing off with his fancy new mods). This clone also had a bomb in his spark chamber, and was destroyed with the first in the upper atmosphere, when Prowl sent them high to avoid destroying Old Detroit. Any loose resemblance to another incarnation of Starscream without the blue is almost certainly a coincidence.

After Prowl and Lockdown captured, and lost, the original Starscream on the moon, his manipulative clone destroyed Prowl's shuttle and headed for earth. The two bots followed him, but bumped into the cowardly clone first. After capturing him, Lockdown double crossed Prowl, and dragged the clone away. As the Autobots gave chase, the manipulative clone appeared and offered to deal. Prowl wasn't having any of it, and after a brief skirmish, managed to get the stasis cuffs on him. Both Lockdown and the Autobots took the clones to an abandoned warehouse, where the Decepticons were waiting. As everyone was, understandably shocked, some sort of program deactivated the clones' higher functions, and opened their spark chambers, which were empty...expect for a pair of powerful bombs. As Lockdown and the Decepticons made a break for it, Prowl welded his borrowed mods to the pair and launched them into the sky, where they exploded. The Decepticons were caught in the blast wave, but the city was saved. In the wreckage of the Nemesis, a disappointed but pragmatic Starscream consoled himself with the fact he still had plenty left. Trivia
- The clones are a reference to the common practice of redecoing Starscream as new characters, specifically the Seekers.
- At BotCon 2008, Animated series creators Derrick Wyatt and Marty Isenberg repeatedly emphasized that there would be "no clone army... definitely no clone army... absolutely no clone army in this show." Lots of reports forgot the sarcasm tag.
