A favored tool of Decepticon enforcers, the Strategos War Rifle is a powerful ballistic assault rifle chambered for 105mm armor-piercing shells. The Strategos War Rifle featured a top-mounted rail integration system, and was highly modular. Its scope can be synced up to other targeting systems, allowing for precision long-range sniping, even when wielded in one hand. Blackout utilized the Mk.II variant as his primary weapon.

Overgear Blackout came with a black Strategos Mk.II War Rifle, the handle of which is designed to be compatible with the 5mm system. Unlike typical sci-fi weapons seen in other lines, the War Rifle is sculpted to resemble real-life modern military rifles and features extensive sculpted detail, right down to the safety switch/fire selector and magazine ejector button. Among the sculpted detail are various attachments, including a suppressor, an angled forward grip, a rail-mounted scope, and two flashlights. In addition to the sculpted attachments, the gun features one 5mm and two 3mm ports on either side, allowing further customization (such as attaching his wavemate's decorative grenades to the side).
