Its intrepid pilots are frequently referred to as "dia-nauts."[1]

  • Generaton 2 Souvenir 2-Pack (Souvenir Set, 2015)
Part of a BotCon 2015 exclusive multipack, Dia and Cline are redecoes of Generations Caliburst and Holepunch respectively in colors homaging the original Diaclone pilot figures, transforming from armored humanoids into guns. In gun mode, they can combiner with each other (or any other iterations of the molds) to form a super-rifle, with either one forming the "front" part.
Despite being the "pilots" for Burn Out and Lift-Ticket, the duo were actually packaged with Sgt. Hound, who in turn was available only in a 2-pack with General Optimus Prime. This set was an at-the-show "souvenir" set.
These molds was also used to make the Combiner Wars duos of Singe and Shrute and Sunbeam and Zputty, as well as the solo Adventure Targetmaster.

  • Shield-D-Prime (シールドディープライム)
Announced as the flagship release in TakaraTomy's Collaborative-adjacent licensed crossover line Synergenex (though not the first to come out), "Shield-D-Prime" combines T-SPARK's three pillar brands of Transformers, Zoids, and Diaclone. This exotic variant of Optimus Prime turns into a 1/60 scale iteration of Zoids mascot Shield Liger, and includes two dianaut pilots along with two working cockpits (one in the head of the beast mode and a secondary "bullet core" modular cockpit cross-compatible with swathes of the revived 2016 incarnation of the Diaclone toyline as well as a adorable teeny tiny "Road Viper" motorcycle for the dianauts that can store in the chest cavity of the liger via an opening ramp.

Notes

  • The Diaclone faction is, of course, derived from the thinly-sketched fiction of the original toyline of the same name from which many original of the original Transformers toys where sourced.
  • The Autobot Titan Master Diac is a riff on Diaclone members' pilot suits but has no fictional connection.
  • The Missing Link toyline features a variety of the Transformers' Generation 1 human companions done up in the style of the original 1980s dianauts.
