Armada Megatron and Metalhawk duel it out over the ownership of the Star Sabre and Dark Saber.
Synopsis
[edit]"The Saga's Latest" (Part 1)
[edit]At the Autobot base, Optimus Prime and the Armada Universe trio discuss Armada Megatron's invocation of the rite of single combat and the ramifications of him winning. Armada Scavenger offers to lead the Earthforce into combat on his order, but Prime orders them to stand down, as intervening would violate multiple parts of the Autobot Code. They can only watch and hope Metalhawk is as great a warrior as he claims. Brawn points out that Sideways is there as well. Laser Optimus is confused as to why he's not doing what he was tasked with—infiltrating the main faction—but his counterpart suggests that it's a test to prove his loyalty to Megatron. Brawn, however, thinks he might just be playing all of them.
Outside the Primal Basilica, Metalhawk accepts Megatron's challenge. Grimlock complains that he doesn't get to fight, but Ultra Magnus reminds him of the rules. He orders Swoop to keep an eye on their enemies lest they break the rules.
"The Saga's Latest" (Part 2)
[edit]Megatron and Metalhawk engage in a verbal battle, to Crankcase and Dirtbag's annoyance. Demolishor tells them to shut up and stop insulting his Megatron. Sideways hypothesizes that they're not fighting because their weapons are too equally matched. Gatorface suggests they help their leader out by attacking Ultra Magnus and the Dinobots. Breakdown Prime argues that they can't inferfere, to which Acid Storm points out that it's not interfering if they aren't technically interrupting the duel. Just as they're about to make their move, Armada Wheeljack stops them, as something has just stopped fight: the opening of the Primal Basilica. Behind its doors, just as the Magnificence told them, is none other than Prima Prime!

Gameplay
[edit]This event was an individual totaliser, meaning players earned points and unlocked prizes on their own as opposed to with their Alliance. The top prize was 2500 Prime Core Chip shards.
Notes
[edit]Continuity notes
[edit]- The Autobots bring up Sideways' infiltration mission, which he began in "Questionable Comrades". He was assigned to the Terrorcon splinter faction by Megatron (the main one) in his Decepticon unlock dialogue.
- The Terrorcons mention the Magnificence, which was gifted to them by Sideways and which they used somewhere between "Do Not Disturb" and "Hide n' Sea".
Transformers references
[edit]- Optimus Prime namedrops the Autobot Code, a set of rules first introduced in the UK-published part of Marvel Transformers comic. Grimlock was never one for following it, whereas Ultra Magnus' 2005 IDW incarnation was a *huge* stickler for its rules.
Errors
[edit]- As you may have guessed, the Dark Saber's name continues to rendered as one word.
- Swoop's character model is missing again.
- Additionally, when he says the word "'Cons", it isn't capitalized.
