At last, Vector and Nova Prime return to the Earth Wars!
Synopsis
[edit]Part 1
[edit]Melody Keen wonders about aloud what Luca, her Decepticon counterpart, is doing in the other Primal Basilica. Alpha Trion inquires about her cause for concern, and she explains that, despite the two of them being polar opposites personality- and morals-wise, they almost always come up with the same ideas and plans. Trion suggests she put herself in his shoes to figure out how to beat him. They discuss his loose contact with Nova Prime before being interrupted by Optimus Prime, who tells them that he felt a presence nearby. Trion feels the same thing, and Melody is immediately reminded of the last time Vector Prime came to speak with them. As if on cue, the ancient Prime appears in the Basilica with them, pressed for time in spite of their warnings that, if he doesn't help them find Solus Prime, there may not be a multiverse to watch over. He criticizes their past use of the Forge of Solus Prime, but after some begging from Optimus and a reminder that Solus' return is already bound to happen anyways thanks to the coming second Age of Primes, he agrees to summon her.
Part 2
[edit]Luca continues his work on contacting Nova Prime while Inferno and Quake watch over him. He explains his similarities and differences with Melody to them. Quake threatens to behead him if he doesn't get back to work, but Inferno stops him to tell them that he senses a presence. The Decepticon warrior soon feels it too, and moments later, they find themselves in the presence of Nova Prime. Luca speaks to him one-on-one, sweet-talking the Prime and telling him that he wants his help in forcing Solus Prime to return.

Gameplay
[edit]This event was an individual totaliser on the Mayhem gamemode, meaning players unlocked points on their own as opposed to with their Alliance. As a Mayhem event, each battle was still won by destroying the HQ, but instead of the rest of the buildings and defenses being destroyed upon them doing so, they could continuing destroying the remaining structures until the 3-minute timer is up to gain additional points. The one caveat is that these bases cost a whopping 15 fuel cells to raid, compared to alternative, easier (but lower-rewarding) 5-fuel-cell-worth bases in the same zones. The top prize was a crystal for a random 5-star Raiden or Dinoking component.
Notes
[edit]- This event and most of its surrounding saga were subject to a hiccup in production whereby their story component went un-aired until being backfilled post-facto in a marathon "recap" included with the event "Guardian Devil."
- This event was extended by 24 hours to compensate players in all time zones for a bug.
Continuity notes
[edit]- Nova Prime is referred to as the next greatest threat to the Grand Plan after Megatronus, referencing his machinations in "The Reckoning" to bring about the Great Resetting.
- Melody references Luca's use of the Forge of Solus and Vector and Nova Prime's last visits to the Autobots and Decepticons, which all occurred in "Prime Relics". Vector also references their prior use of the Forge during the campaign's story portion, which resulted in the loss of the hammer after each side used all its energy to build their respective Primal Basilicas.
Errors
[edit]- Luca mistakenly calls Nova Prime by Vector's name.
