Talk:Big Convoy (BW)
I sure as hell never heard anyone call him "Maximus Prime". Besides, "Optimus Primeval" is better anyway. --M Sipher 08:14, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- The only Maximus Prime I know of is the dude who used to mod at Seibertron. I don't think it's that widely spread a term among the fandom. --DrSpengler 16:25, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- Additionally, using "Maximus Prime" makes it kinda hard for people to know what the fuck you're talking about. Interrobang 16:37, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
I came up with a name for him and realy like it Gigantus prime like gigantic and Optimus prime

So the Sourcebook stuff really doesn't fit with the Predacus stuff. In particular, Magmatron is created after the Pax Cybertronia according to Predacus, but was supposedly defeated by Big Convoy prior to it according to the Sourcebook. How are we supposed to reconcile this? Saix (talk) 14:21, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
- Well, it's not really our job to reconcile anything. If it really impedes the readability of our article, we should just put up a note pointing out that one account contradicts another. --Ascendron (talk) 14:37, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
Main Quote
I'm throwing down a gauntlet:
Where, exactly, does Big Convoy say "I never trust anyone—except for my Big Cannon", and how does he actually say it?
Both this page and Big Cannon have the same quote listed, but source two different issues of the BWN manga, this page saying it came from "A Battle Fought Alone", and Big Cannon saying "Mortal Combat! Twenty Thousand Meters in the Sky". And both of those issues have quotes that have similar wording/intent, but do not 100% match what this page and Big Cannon are quoting (and both are part of longer sentences anyway). Considering the discrepancies that have been discovered in the BWII/BWN writeups in the last few years, this feels like one or more of these quotes have been either roughly translated, or someone has paraphrased and/or misidentified the sources, and mmmmight border on circular reporting?
So, in the interest of accuracy... what gives? Crossfire 17:08, 7 May 2026 (EDT)
(I couldn't find any scans of the pages in question, or I'd be more prepared in asking this)
- I can only read Japanese very slowly, so I skimmed through the images that seemed like they could contain the quote and found these that might be what's being talked about:
- ABFA: [ビッグキャノンだけを]1 [たよりに]2 [一人で]3 [生きてきた]4 / [Big Cannon dake o]1 [tayori ni]2 [hitori de]3 [ikite kita]4 / [I have lived]4 [alone]3 [relying on]2 [(my) Big Cannon only]1
- This line is quoted on the manga page as "I never trust anyone except for my Big Cannon, who had accompanied for my whole life."
- MCTTMITS: 貴様がいうようにオレは天涯孤独だからオレが信じるのは...我がキャノンのみ!!! / [Kisama ga iu you ni]1 [ore wa tengaikodoku]2 [dakara]3 [ore ga shinjiru no wa...]4 [waga cannon nomi!!!]5 / [It's as (a piece of shit like) you said]1 [I (am) alone in the world]2 [(and) therefore]3 [I have faith in...]4 [my cannon alone!!!]5
- This line is quoted on the manga page as "Like you said, I am always alone, so I never trust anyone—except for my cannon."
- ABFA: [ビッグキャノンだけを]1 [たよりに]2 [一人で]3 [生きてきた]4 / [Big Cannon dake o]1 [tayori ni]2 [hitori de]3 [ikite kita]4 / [I have lived]4 [alone]3 [relying on]2 [(my) Big Cannon only]1
- I hope I got the lines right and I hope this helps people join the discussion. I agree that the two page quotes need to be fixed. BerylRoll (talk) 02:14, 8 May 2026 (EDT)
