Many are linked with <A title=Primus href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Primus">Primus</A>, the ancient deity of the Transformer race, though a number are of unknown origin. Sacred implements brim with otherworldly energy, and in the presence of one (or a suitable proxy<A title="" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Sacred_implement#cite_note-1">[2]</A>), a new Transformer may be granted life. As a result, in many universes, these artifacts are responsible for much, if not all, life on Cybertron.
Accordingly, many battles and even wars have been fought to obtain them and utilize their wondrous properties.

It possessed the capability to imbue Cybertronians with true sentience, separating them from mere automatons. As well, it could reformat Cybertronians, and even evidenced the power to <A title=Eco-structuring href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Eco-structuring">mechaform</A> organics and their worlds. <A name=The_Creation_Matrix></A> <H3><SPAN class=editsection>[<A title="Edit section: The Creation Matrix" href="http://tfwiki.net/w2/index.php?title=Sacred_implement&action=edit§ion=3">edit</A>]</SPAN> <SPAN class=mw-headline>The <A class=mw-redirect title="Creation Matrix" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Creation_Matrix">Creation Matrix</A></SPAN></H3> Traditionally borne by a <A title="Prime (rank)" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Prime_(rank)">Prime</A> in each era of Cybertronian history, the Creation Matrix housed a portion of the lifeforce of Primus, and in some universes was considered the only means of Cybertronian reproduction. In one <A title=Reproduction href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Reproduction#Budding">noteworthy instance</A>, it proved that it was instead the only safe method of reproduction, the alternative having given birth to the <A title="Swarm (G2)" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Swarm_(G2)">Swarm</A>. In this instance, the light of the Matrix had to be sacrificed to the Swarm to prevent the destruction of the Cybertronian race, an event that sparked the Swarm's eventual evolution into the <A title=Vok href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Vok">Vok</A>. <A name=The_All_Spark></A> <H3><SPAN class=editsection>[<A title="Edit section: The All Spark" href="http://tfwiki.net/w2/index.php?title=Sacred_implement&action=edit§ion=4">edit</A>]</SPAN> <SPAN class=mw-headline>The <A title="All Spark (Movie)" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/All_Spark_(Movie)">All Spark</A></SPAN></H3> Though its origins are unknown, the massive runic cube known as the All Spark birthed life from the inanimate surface of Cybertron. Lord High Protector <A title="Megatron (Movie)" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Megatron_(Movie)">Megatron</A> showed an increasing obsession with the energy which emanated from the artifact, eventually dragging the planet into the depths of civil war over it. To safeguard it, <A title="Optimus Prime (Movie)" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Optimus_Prime_(Movie)">Optimus Prime</A> ordered it jettisoned into space. Landing on <A title=Earth href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Earth">Earth</A>, it drew the Transformers in pursuit of it, and the conflict eventually began again in this new theater of war. In a tense battle to keep the artifact from Megatron, the All Spark was destroyed, but not before its energies sparked a new flowering of Transformer life on the distant planet. <A name=Potential_sacred_implements></A> <H2><SPAN class=editsection>[<A title="Edit section: Potential sacred implements" href="http://tfwiki.net/w2/index.php?title=Sacred_implement&action=edit§ion=5">edit</A>]</SPAN> <SPAN class=mw-headline>Potential sacred implements</SPAN></H2> Many artifacts share traits with known sacred implements, but have not been positively identified as sacred implements themselves.<A title="" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Sacred_implement#cite_note-2">[3]</A> <A name=The_Matrix_Flame></A> <H3><SPAN class=editsection>[<A title="Edit section: The Matrix Flame" href="http://tfwiki.net/w2/index.php?title=Sacred_implement&action=edit§ion=6">edit</A>]</SPAN> <SPAN class=mw-headline>The <A title="Matrix Flame" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Matrix_Flame">Matrix Flame</A></SPAN></H3> Connected with the energies of the Creation Matrix, the Matrix Flame acts as a conduit through which those energies may be used to grant life to Cybertronians as if the Matrix itself were present. It burns while the Creation Matrix resides within a Prime, and gutters and extinguishes itself should that Prime fall and/or the Matrix be removed. This most famously occurred after it gave life to <A title="Ultra Magnus (G1)" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Ultra_Magnus_(G1)">Ultra Magnus</A>, which prompted a mission to discover the fate of <A title="Optimus Prime (G1)" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Optimus_Prime_(G1)">Optimus Prime</A> on Earth.

Eventually lost and coming to rest on the planet <A class=mw-redirect title="Archa Nine" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Archa_Nine">Archa Nine</A>, it was worshiped by the native peoples as a religious relic. <A name=The_AllSpark></A> <H3><SPAN class=editsection>[<A title="Edit section: The AllSpark" href="http://tfwiki.net/w2/index.php?title=Sacred_implement&action=edit§ion=8">edit</A>]</SPAN> <SPAN class=mw-headline>The <A title="AllSpark (Animated)" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/AllSpark_(Animated)">AllSpark</A></SPAN></H3> Sharing many similarities with cognates in other universes, the AllSpark is the source of all Cybertronian life and the main advantage the Autobots possessed in the <A title="Great War" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Great_War">Great War</A>. It was jettisoned into space, where it was eventually found by an Autobot <A title="Space bridge" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Space_bridge">space bridge</A> repair crew, who fled to Earth with it when they came under pursuit by a Decepticon warship. After landing on the planet, its energies granted <A title=Spark href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Spark">sparks</A> to several Transformers, and once it was shattered, the resulting shards did the same to many more. <A name=References></A> <H2><SPAN class=editsection>[<A title="Edit section: References" href="http://tfwiki.net/w2/index.php?title=Sacred_implement&action=edit§ion=9">edit</A>]</SPAN> <SPAN class=mw-headline>References</SPAN></H2> <DIV class=references-small> <OL class=references> <LI id=cite_note-0><A title="" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Sacred_implement#cite_ref-0">↑</A> <A title="World of Transformers" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/World_of_Transformers">World of Transformers</A>, Section 5: Birth Theories, <A title=2007 href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/2007">2007</A> <SMALL>(Translation <A title="Talk:World of Transformers/Section5 src" href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Talk:World_of_Transformers/Section5_src">here</A>)</SMALL>
