</table> The Decepticons are stealing gasoline from all over the world! Can the Autobots dismantle their device and stop them?

Synopsis

The Autobots are nice, and come from Cybertron. They miss it. But the evil Decepticons are from there as well. Megatron thinks his Decepticons should rule Earth.

In the middle of enjoying Earth, the Autobots notice that the world's gasoline supplies are disappearing. Turns out the Decepticons are using a "molecular transfer device" to steal the gasoline by remote. Without gasoline, human industries will collapse!

Optimus uses Roller to see into "the Megatron stronghold". The Autobots tranform and roll out to invade the Decepticons' fortress and destroy the device.

Skywarp spots the approaching Autobots and alerts the Decepticons, who attack. Windcharger drags Skywarp down to Huffer's fist-waving range, and Jazz drives off the sneak-attacking Laserbeak. Hound locates the stronghold, and Ironhide bashes a hole in the wall. As Ratchet works on the wounded Windcharger, Ironhide reasons that he uses the most fuel and donates some of his gasoline to keep the others running at full power, as they're running low. Jazz promises to return with more gas than he can hold.

The Autobots enter the stronghold and locate a "top secret" room, but it's alarmed. Decepticons appear to defend the device! Bumblebee slips past Megatron to enter the device's room thanks to a distraction by Mirage. But he is too small to smash the device! Instead he turns the device on the Decepticons, draining them of power. The battle is won! Bumblebee is a hero!

The Autobots work on returning the fuel to where it belongs (and getting some to to the drunkenly staggering Ironhide), while the Decepticons sneak off. Megatron probably hasn't learned anything from this ignominious defeat.

Quotes

"Decepticons, we should rule Earth."<br />

Megatron makes a sort of lukewarm suggestion to his troops.

Notes

  • A couple of the bizarre character models from "Decepticon Patrol" make a brief return on the first page. Even though one of them is supposed to be Bumblebee, elsewhere in the story he has more toy-based model, with a strange hybrid head and face design featuring a huge blocky shape and a face that makes him look not unlike Pathfinder.
  • Cybertron features 1950s-style "futuristic" jets, buildings that look like giant Star Trek computers, and a host of robots with tubular arms and clamp hands in the style of Cy-Kill.
  • Optimus Prime is shown fighting the evil Decepticons alongside... Soundwave.
  • A transforming cassette-bot seems to have Soundwave's shoulder cannon.
  • There is no way Huffer's shoulders can actually work like that.
  • Two pages' captions are reversed: Jazz is shown dazzling the Decepticons with a light show, while the text describes Rumble making an earthquake as seen on the previous page.
  • Unlike other Marvel Books coloring books, this one has no mazes or activities.
