Carlos Garzón (born May 22, 1945 in Bogotá, Colombia) is a comic book artist. Self-taught, he created the character "El Dago" in 1967 and in 1970 was invited to New York by Al Williamson, who was impressed with his work. During the 70s, Garzón gained experience in the comics field, eventually working on Flash Gordon. Williamson and Garzón collaborated on the Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi comic adaptations, and Garzón has since had a long history working for both Marvel Comics and D.C., on titles including Star Trek, Spider-Man, Justice League, Doom Patrol and Hawkman. He currently lives in Orlando, Florida.
