The thunderbolt laser pistol is a weapon from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Between his lightning whip and his electricity-firing thunderbolt laser pistol, Cloudburst pretty much has the whole electric weapon thing covered.

How a laser pistol shoots electric blasts is unclear, but it may have something to do with ionization pathways.

• Dreamwave's More Than Meets The Eye series refers to Cloudburst's weapon as a thunderbolt cannon, probably because laser beams aren't composed of electricity.
