Oldest species in the universe?

Okay, bear with me;

  1. The demons predate the Cybertronian race, and were apparently sealed away by Primus when he took posession of the planet. Dawn of Darkness
  2. Primus had re-shaped Cybertron into a living starship that charted galaxies back when the original 13 were around. He was spreading himself on planets before he even came into conflict with Unicron-- this is seriously "still amid the aftershocks of the big bang" long ago.

So if the Demons predate THAT, it means that either;

  1. They are one of the first life-forms to evolve in the universe.
  2. They're from the the PREVIOUS universe, the one Unicron ate, and only bits and pieces of which survived. (They, presumably, being one of the 'bits.)

The demons first appearance was 12 months before Furman revealed that Unicron ate the previous universe. They were clearly part of his 'worldview' when he first wrote about the Void. Given the demon's tainted "anti-life"/life-sucking nature... I think they make a lot of sense as survivors of a Universe where Unicron had consumed everything that lived.

Which, all told, makes the Demons the oldest species in the universe.  :) -Derik 05:57, 21 March 2009 (EDT)
