Steamer is an Autobot in Generation 1

Steamer is an Autobot that is very easily mistaken for Chuffer. (And vice-versa.)

When asked to identify Chuffer's body, the Decepticon Dreadwind misidentified him as Steamer. He wasn't terribly upset when his error was pointed out. "Steamer, Chuffer, what's the difference? He's just another Autobot casualty."

Reports of Steamer's death were greatly exaggerated, and he is presumably still among the living.
