Order of Categories

So, I listed categories in rough order from "most encompassing" to "most specific", while M Sipher re-ordered them into alphabetical order. Checking the help pages, I don't see any statement about preferred order of categories. Do we have a standard, or is it up to personal taste? JW 13:30, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Alphabetical is the de facto standard. Easier to manage, since one doesn't have to arbitrarily decide which category comes first. Interrobang 14:04, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
