Playskool is Hasbro's brand name for toys designed for small children, famous for products such as Mr. Potato Head. The First Transformers were produced under this brand, as were the Go-Bots.

In Transformers fandom, "Playskool" (sometimes written "Playskoolish") is also a loosely-defined adjective, often used to refer to Transformers which one perceives as childish. This tends to include stylized "cartoonish" designs, bright colors, gimmicks, and generally anything that was not present in the speaker's favorite Transformers when he/she was between the ages of 8 and 12. How this will affect children growing up on Generation 2 Beast Wars Beast Machines Robots in Disguise Armada Energon Cybertron The Movie Transformers Animated has yet to be seen. I mean, seriously, it's not like they're kids' toys, or something. Sheesh.
