Alternity
- The Alternity are a highly evolved mechanoid species from the Alternity portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Native to the universal stream Primax 109.0 Beta, the Alternity are a highly evolved form of Cybertronian life. Like the Transcendent Technomorphs they are aware of the multiverse, and capable of bridging the gap between universal streams. However unlike the residents of Axiom Nexus they are not confined to a single universal stream, and indeed can straddle several at once. Much like the Vok, they interact with the material world by creating material vessels. These vessels, called Auto-avatars, are comparable in capabilities to the Cybertronians of many universal streams, but carry many unique technological advancements specific to the Alternity. In their native forms they are composed of Alternium, a higher-dimensional material which resonates with the incarnations of the being on similar universal streams. Each individual being of the Alternity is effectively all of their incarnations at once, a manifold being.[1]

A key component in their ascension as a species to their hyper-dimensional state was the Timaeus Project, which not only began the initial forays into what would become the Timaeus drive dimensional locomotion system, but also began to isolate and refine the first Alternium.
