Dropships are a type of Decepticlone from the Transformers (PS2) video game.

Decepticlone Dropships have no offensive capabilities of their own, and arguable have no artificial intelligence, it seems more likely that a Decepticlone pilot (possibly a Light Unit or Medium Unit) is at the helm. Their presence always indicates an organised Decepticon/Decepticlone occupation in the area; their most basic function is to simply patrol a set path in the level. However, if an Autobot comes within its sensor range, the dropship may change course to intercept, and release its cargo of Decepticlone troops. Destroying the Dropship destroys all of the Decepticlones it may contain and also yields a fair amount of Energon.

Since the Dropships do not attack by themselves, they can be used by Autobots as transport around the level, should they somehow manage to get high enough to leap onto their upper decks. A Dropship is capable of carrying either a Heavy Unit or Spider Tank clamped into the external cargo mount between its thruster vanes.
