Carbombya is a human state in the Generation 1 continuity family.
This is canon, people. This is sooooooo canon.

The Socialist Democratic Federated Republic of Carbombya is a kingdom located in the Sahara Desert region of the continent of Africa on the planet Earth. It has a coastline, with foreign ships that venture too close to it often being fired upon. This intensely xenophobic state is ruled by Abdul Fakkadi, and apparently derives most of its wealth from particularly fine oil. The people are often heard swearing on the lives of their mother's camels and so forth. This is of course hilarious offensively stereotypical.

Its city of Carbombya City, population 4,000 (and 10,000 camels), is presumably the capital.

Fiction

Cartoon continuity

After the Decepticons were driven from Cybertron in 2005, Dirge and Ramjet hid out in Carbombya, cleverly disguised as ordinary military jets that just happened to look exactly like Dirge and Ramjet, until they were discovered by Blaster and Outback. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 1

Later, the population of Carbombya became so stereotypical that Teletraan I broke. Fortunately, Autobot City had the Teletraan II computer. Thief in the Night

Trivia

  • Carbombya is sometimes spelled Carbombia, consistently so in "Two for the Price of One". In the script for "Five Faces of Darkness", it was spelled "Karbomia". The correct spelling, used here, is of course the one that makes the horrible pun most overt. Yay?
  • In case you didn't notice, Carbombya is a (very) thinly veiled dig at the real-world nation of Libya, whose militants were the Terrorist Boogeymen du jour in the 1980s. It's about as creative as naming a fictional country "Attackistan" or "Terrorahn" would be these days.
