NEST

NEST is a military organization in the live-action film series continuity family.

Following the disbanding of Sector Seven, Networked Elements: Supporters and Transformers (N.E.S.T.) was set up under William Lennox to create a combined United States Military/Autobot defense force against Decepticons.

Initial training for the NEST unit took place in Diego Garcia. Alliance issue 3

NEST had a baptism of fire against Decepticon scouts in San Francisco. Following that, it expanded to a multinational force and began taking on Decepticon agents across the Earth. Every Decepticon encountered was destroyed (robotic combatants aren't covered by Geneva Convention, I guess). Alliance issue 4

Trivia

• NEST troopers appeared on the cover of the "Alliance #2" Revenge of the Fallen prequel comic, but were nowhere to be seen in the story inside.

• Diego Garcia appears to be a central base for NEST, at least for training alongside the Autobots. The native population of Diego Garcia were expelled from the island to make way for the joint United Kingdom/United States military bases. The Autobots are led by Optimus Prime, who believes freedom is the right of all sentient beings. Err...
