Unlike the Hasbro version of this line, the toys in the Henkei! Henkei! line come with several mini-comics, usually promoting the toys they are sold with. All the comics are written and drawn by Naoto Tsushima, save for the Transformers Generations 2009 series, which was written and drawn by Hidetsugu Yoshioka.
Compared to past Japanese series, this comic presents the Henkei! universe as a new continuity, rather than shoehorning it somewhere into the Generation 1 cartoon continuity. An on-going monthly Henkei! series is currently being published in Comic Bun Bun, but due to events that occur in chapter 4 compared to volume 4, it's unlikely they share continuity with each other.
