The laser rifle is a standard weapon among the Autobot army. People who wield laser rifles include Optimus Prime, Bluestreak, and Slag.

Kup wields a musket laser. It is also capable of shooting acid bursts. Why? Who knows?

One of Spinister's pets, Hairsplitter, transforms into a twin-barelled lock-target laser rifle. He's so accurate with this rifle, he can sign his name on a microchip that's two miles away, which is a good skill to have when your boss goes off the deep end.

• Originally, Optimus Prime's weapon was called a laser rifle in the original cartoon and his original toy. However, modern toys refer to his weapon as an ion blaster.
