- 1930: Edgar Fruitier (Canadian French voice of Doctor Arkeville, Grimlock, Predaking, and Sparkplug Witwicky) is born.
- 1984: Marvel Comics' Transformers #1 hits newsstands (with an erroneous cover date of May 29). This was the very first Transformers product made available... so Happy Anniversary, Transformers!
- 1999: Ed Gilbert (voice of Generation 1 Blitzwing, Superion, and Thrust) dies of lung cancer at age 67.
- 2002: Prime Directive issue 2 is released in the US by Dreamwave Productions
- 2008: "Withered Hope" is released through the Fun Publications Transformers Collectors' Club members-only site.
