Oh no, not an organic!

Rattletrap is that one 'bot who will tell you anything if you "persuade" him enough. He's kind of a dirty rat when you think about it.

Rattletrap apparently gave info on Omega Supreme's activation codes to a Shockwave. He was later interrogated by Ratchet and Captain Fanzone, who threatened to slime him if he didn't give them access to a high-security infirmary on Cybertron. This threat proved effective, but the access key card Rattletrap provided turned out not to work. Ultimately it didn't matter, as Jazz had been tailing them the whole time, and let them in. Notes

  • Rattletrap is an homage to Rattrap from Beast Wars, specifically his "Dawn of Future's Past" Cybertronian form. However, he's much more willing to work with the enemy than the original was...
  • Additionally, his name is a portemanteau of both his American name and his Japanese name (Rattle), making it a double homage to the same character.
  • Rattletrap's face was given to Peaugh in the form of a Twitter avatar as a gift from Derrick Wyatt. Little did he know it was a spoiler in disguise!
  • Rattletrap's voice owes a little more to Lou Costello than usual.
