- Soundwave is a heroic Decepticon from the "Shattered Glass" universe.
Soundwave is a righteous dude! He brings the good vibrations to Megatron's fight against the totally heinous Autobots! He is sometimes known as Monstroso, the Robot Horror from Beyond.
Fiction
Shattered Glass
As the Decepticons followed Starscream's plan to disable the Ark's launching platform, Soundwave was among the ground forces that followed Starscream, Divebomb and Whisper's initial assault. Later in the battle he was seen assisting the injured Slugslinger. Shattered Glass
At a certain point, Soundwave landed on Earth unsuccessfully in some way — he went into stasis lock and sat on his stasis pod after came out from it. Heatwave came to Earth to find Soundwave after a certain time, only to find him become a scenic spots at Wyatt's Roadsideaganza. Heatwave then reactivated the system and the on-board scanner of Soundwave's stasis pod. It scanned a vehicle nearby for Soundwave and reactivated him into function. Soundwave tore a flag and made it as his hachimaki. In the end, the two Decepticons detonated the stasis pod and set out to find the cassette troop. The Desert Heat!

- Soundwave's Earth form is based on Universe Classics Ironhide's toy with a more Soundwavey head.

Toys
The "Sonic White" MP3 Player version of Soundwave was repurposed to represent Shattered Glass Soundwave's Cybertron form and is therefore an almost perfect likeness of him, the only notable differences being the colour of his silver Decepticon insignia and red eyes.
