Battle Droids are war robots manufactured by the Separatists and part of the droid army led by General Grievous. Their name implies that they are mindless drones, but this is unconfirmed—all that is known about them is that they come in great numbers, with waves and waves of Battle Droids easily swarming their Republic and Jedi enemies during battle. Although comparatively powerful, Battle Droids are seemingly overwhelmed whenever their foes bring out their transforming mechs.

Fiction

Legions of Battle Droids are known to have participated in a multitude of battles, including fighting against Obi-Wan Kenobi, Clone Troopers and Clone Gunships on the planet Geonosis, defending the Intergalactic Banking Clan headquarters against clone forces on the planet Muunilist, and clashing with Jedi Master Saesee Tiin on his unnamed home planet. It is unknown how any of these battles ended.
