I don't think the promo clip showed him flying or going invisible. I'd chalk them both up to flashy anime-style ninja-jumps.

  • He flies in both clips, in the promo, and the recording of the first episode. You can see the thrusters on his back. And he change visibility clearly when he jumps out between the lasers. -Hepathos 19:07, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

His avatar is also not even remotely like IDW "holomatter". It's just a hologram, not even entirely opaque, while IDW uses Star Trek nonsense. -Rotty 03:22, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Added information from this auction: [1] I've written the following paragraph to add to the wiki: "He lives by the logical teachings of Circuit Su, and believes that reason and intellect are the key to resolving any problem. Because of this he is often vexed by his fellow Autobots and humans, but he is loyal to the Autobot cause and will stop at nothing to defend them." Objections? -invisiblemoose 10:50am, 28 October 2007 (New Zealand time)

We try to add only officially-released information on this wiki. I think this might count as a violation of that. I'm not sure, since, you know, it's Hasbro packaging. It's just very very early. --ItsWalky 22:08, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
Well, it IS leaked dinfo... wich I really like, but the others in this Wiki don't. Just wait for the official crap. -Hepathos 22:09, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Walky, you are far too pumped for your own good. We're getting you a different babysitter.--Apcog 16:47, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Ugh. That's just awful. Can I revert, please? --Detour 17:53, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
Aw, I thought it was hilarious. --Sntint 18:08, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Um...

As much as I appreciate the reference in the profile section, frankly I think that it results in a really ugly layout full of terrible blank space that tells us basically nothing ACCURATE about Prowl as a character, since, you know, he kind of goes in the complete opposite direction of "flip out" personality-wise. --M Sipher 18:44, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

In Unity, Strength. In Solitude, Peace.

Prowl's role in "Blast From The Past" shows a less loner-y side to him, as well as a more spiritual aspect... He could tell that the Dinobots were alive. I'm seeing character development already, but I'm not quite sure how to phrase it in an edit. It seems like he cares about people... all people... on a pretty deep level. He just doesn't want to be around them. --Nemesis Primal 03:45, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

I agree. Outside of the pilot, Prowl hasn't been all that much of a loner at all. Excise 15:51, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

...abilities and powers?

Since when do we put "Abilities and Powers" sections in character articles?--RosicrucianTalk 07:26, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Since when every single robot in the Animated univese have one. --Hepathos 18:32, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
That's not how we write character articles here, though. Prowl doesn't have any powers that weren't exhibited by other characters in the past, so such things need to either go in his intro paragraph or his fiction section, not in their own section.--RosicrucianTalk 19:49, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Speaking of Prowl's abilities,i see information is added to his toy section about the supposed Samurai version. Where has this been confirmed? As far as i know it's just speculation! Decepticon Rhinox 19:09, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
It was confirmed at Botcon. Getting a toy I believe. Also, it was shown in Fistful Of Energon. Whether an episode shown outside of NA counts, I don't know, but howsever. Looks pretty neat.User:GWolfv2
Ok,i didn't know about the botcon confirmation since it was not mentioned on any tf news sites. A single episode cameo does not always recieve a toy so the cartoon screens are no confirmation. By the way,to sign your posts, use four times ~ in a row. Decepticon Rhinox 20:22, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Samurai Suit Sidecar of the South

If I remember correcly, the reports from Botcon said that the sidecar addon is going to be sold separately, with a Deluxe price on it, not with another Prowl. --Hepathos 20:20, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

WRONG!!!

Which begs the question, why is Prowl in with a repair crew?

"begs the question" should not be confused with "raises the question". "begs the question means something entirely damned different! Blue Spider 03:25, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Ninja?

Why does the article keep referring to Prowl as a ninja? To quote wikipedia: "In Japanese history, a ninja (忍者 ,ninja) is a warrior specially trained in a variety of unorthodox arts of war. These include assassination, illusion, espionage, and various martial arts." Prowl is trained in two martial arts, both of which are fictional. He is not in any way, form or meaning a ninja. I realise there's some joke ninja-references in the cartoon, but jokes are not always to be taken literal as part of continuity.--86.87.28.191 15:57, 9 April 2009 (EDT)

...er, he has undergone "cyber-ninja training," which has been mentioned umpteen times in the cartoon. He is a ninja, insofar as Transformers Animated defines them.--RosicrucianTalk 16:01, 9 April 2009 (EDT)
NINJAS ARE SERIOUS BUSINESS --ItsWalky 16:02, 9 April 2009 (EDT)
Yeah, he's, like... explicitly identified as a fucking ninja by the show. - Chris McFeely 16:07, 9 April 2009 (EDT)
Only thirty million times, dude. --ItsWalky 16:22, 9 April 2009 (EDT)
Gee, thanks everyone for your well thought-out, sane, non-violent, civilized answers ¬_¬ . --86.87.28.191 14:06, 10 April 2009 (EDT)
Next you'll try to tell me that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles aren't really ninjas. - Starfield 14:53, 10 April 2009 (EDT)
They're not Ninjas, they're Heroes. ;) Geewunling 14:57, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

Fictional ninjas are pretty much never what "real" ninjas were. But Prowl is a ninja according to the show's in-universe definition. And this wiki deals with the in-universe context. --M Sipher 15:48, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

prowl is dead?!

i can't believe prowl is dead it is sad to see such a great warrior die
