As part of my very occasional articles on Takara designers, I'd like to do one for Ohno here seeing as he's still employed at Tak-Tom. I'm using Zinc-Panic as my source for his design credits, but I'm not sure how to lay them out. Should I put his Diaclone/Microchange era toys under G1 or Diaclone/Microchange? Since, technically (as far as I know), he didn't actually design the Transformers releases for these toys. --FFN 02:12, 13 June 2009 (EDT)

Just brainstorming, but I'd say something like:
  • Pre-Transformers
    • Diaclone
      • Thing one!
      • THing two!
    • Microman
      • Thing three!

Thanks. Another question: Is Zinc Panic a reliable source? They seem to have a pretty damn extensive list of toys he's designed, but, without fail, they use Japanese names and release dates, and under Ohno's credits, they credit him with Japanese versions of toys initially released in Hasbro's market, so I have no idea if Ohno designed the Hasbro release or not or just the Japanese redeco/retool. Also, the Japanese-ness of the information gives me the Japanophile alert if it's not actually a site run by english-speaking Japanese dudes. --FFN 11:05, 13 June 2009 (EDT)
That, I can't help you with. You could ask them where they got that data from, I guess. The Japanese side of things seems to be more willing to let individual designers sign off on toys, even if there was some group work involved... Hooper_X 13:22, 13 June 2009 (EDT)
