Hightower joined Long Haul, Mixmaster, Rampage, Ravage and Scalpel as they descended into the Laurentian Abyss, searching for Megatron's remains. Upon finding his corpse, Scalpel decided that his resurrection would require grafting fresh parts to his body. So Mixmaster and Long Haul killed Hightower and used his remains. [citation needed]

During the climatic battle in Egypt between the Autobots, their human allies and The Fallen's Decepticons, Hightower's combiner counterpart appeared briefly, before merging into Devastator. As Devastator smashed away at the Great Pyramid of Giza, former Sector Seven agent Seymour Simmons called upon the United States Navy to fire upon the giant Decepticon. The US Navy fired its experimental railgun, smashing the Hightower arm to pieces and destroying Devastator. Revenge of the Fallen

Merchandise

Burger King

  • Devastator (2009)
An extremely-simplified version of Hightower's vehicle mode is included as part of Burger King Devastator. Though his ball socket is compatible with any of Devastator's limb connections, it's marked with a B to indicate he forms Devastator's left arm. Hightower seems to be the least movie accurate of the four limbs.
