The Allspark Mutations are type of Transformer from the 2007 movie franchise in the live-action film continuity family.

Fiction

Transformers (2007 film)

The secret Human organization known as Sector Seven learnt that the alien artifact known as the All Spark contained a type of radiation that turned machines into living beings. This led to the creation of Hoover Dam in order to protect the rest of civilization from its energy. Eventually, the agents of Sector Seven also learnt to channel the All Sparks radiation in their base and turn any machinery into a living creature. However, they quicklly discovered that this technique created heavily armed as well as psychopathic killing machines from simple devices. Agent Seymour Simmons later demonstrated this by using the cubes radiation to giving a Nokia mobile phone life. They promptly killed the little psycho when it began cracking the glass in its cage by flash frying it.

Later, when Sam Witwicky tried to get the All Spark to safety from the Decepticons, he accidently hit a car and fell to the ground. This led to the cube spreading its energy around which brought about the activation of numerous electronic appliances in Mission City which went on a homicidal rampage. Transformers

Sam later discovered a fragment of the Allspark at his home and whilst holding it, he accidently dropped it due to the fact that a touch to it burnt him. After falling to the ground, it caused a small fire and burnt through the floor and fell to the kitchen where it created a number of Allspark Mutations from the kitchen appliances. These feral mutants proceeded to go to Sams room and attacked him though he managed to escape to the outside and called Bumblebee out who promptly dispatched the little gremlins. The character bios for the Allspark Mutations Landmine, Jolt, Salvage, and the Real Gear Robots depict them as ordinary Autobots and Decepticons, despite their origin as Earth machinery brought to life with All Spark energy.

• Screenwriter Roberto Orci has offered some potential explanations for the evil nature of on-screen Allspark Mutations both at BotCon 2007 and on the official movie forum
  • "Prime intended to use the Allspark to repower Cybertron as it was intended. Megatron wants to abuse it by creating Transformers directly, which makes souless[sic], primal Transformers."
  • "It is meant to power Cybertron, not adapt human technology. Also, since all earth's tech is reverse engineered from Megatron, maybe that affects the outcome, too."

• Another possible explanation about the feral nature of the mutations can be taken from Transformers: Autobots where the All Spark produces drones from the local machinery to defend itself from the Autobots who are trying to retrieve the artifact. This possibly means that the All Spark-created Transformers may be a survival mechanism, intially created to be feral in order to protect the All Spark from harm.

• The exact circumstances by which the All Spark created other Transformers with more ordinary personalities from Earth machinery is currently unknown.

• None of the Allspark Mutations that appeared in the movie were in the leaked script except the XBOX 360 robot. The ones in the film were a Nokia phone, a Mountain Dew vending machine, a steering wheel and an XBOX 360. In the script, they were an iPod, devices in a truck and plasma televisions.

• The term "Allspark Mutations" comes from the comic line, namely in Alliance issue 1.
