Named/Numbered Sweeps

The multiple Sweeps in "FFoD pt3" are identified in the dialogue script as "Doomed Sweep" (the one who dies), Sweep 2 ("This is blowing out my audio sensors!") and Sweep 3 ("It's torture").

Sweeps Six and Seven were identified in dialogue(!) as being part of the assault on the moon in the opening of "Call of the Primitives". (In fact, according to the dialogue script, Sweep Six is the one saying the voice calling the Primitives is coming from space - which seems to tacitly lump him in with the other Primitives. Very odd.)

Sweep #1 is listed in the dialogue script for "Ghost in the Machine" ("What's the matter? You got lead in your feet?" and "Why would he do that? He's our leader!"), as is Sweep #2 ("Let's melt him anyway").

Sweep #1 is listed again in "The Burden Hardest to Bear" ("Uh oh! It's all over! Beat feet!").

Sweep #1 is listed again again in "The Dweller in the Depths", where he seems to get the most screen-time ("What are they?" in response to the Trans-organics, an angry scream as he's attacked by the bear-trap creature, and "Where?!" in response to Cyclonus saying there's something in the Dweller chamber with them just before he's sucked dry by it). Sweep #2 is the second Sweep grabbed and drained, and Sweep #3 is the one thrown at the life-drained hordes ("Galvatron, no! I beg you").

Sweep #2 is listed in "Webworld" ("For the glory of Galvatron!" - think he's also the one Sludge calls dumb, and he's also the one who responds to Cyclonus with "As he helped US, Cyclonus?"). Sweep #4 also appears ("I'll help you, mighty Galvatron!"), as does Sweep #1 ("The planet's going crazy").

I don't know how much of this could justifiably be used to fill out individual Sweep character articles, as most of it is common sense character identification within a given episode - eg, just saying which is the first Sweep talking, the second Sweep talking, etc. There's very low odds that Sweep #1 was meant to be the same Sweep in each instance. But, on the other hand, Sweeps 6 and 7 WERE called out in on-screen dialogue, so the numeric approach the fanclub took had clear precedent... which could make 1, 3 and 4 viable for articles. --Monzo 05:25, 7 June 2009 (EDT)

Hhhhmmmmn... like you say, it is pretty clearly just an internal numbering system used by the scripts, rather than an indicator of the characters being the same... Oh, oh, you know what we should do? We should look over the episodes, and find out who provided the voices of the numbered Sweeps in each episode. If the same guy voiced Sweep #1 every time, hell yeah, that's the same Sweep! :D - Chris McFeely 09:34, 7 June 2009 (EDT)
