{{external}} is a template used for creating a Marked External Link outside of the "External Links" section where they are automatically marked.

These icons are used to mark Frequent Outgoing Links, sites which MediaWiki commonly links to because they provide good information relevant to a wide range of articles.

Sites which are currently marked:

• Nordic TransFans Association
• TFU.info

• YoJoe.com

The only real reason to create a Marked External Link like this in mid-article would be when lining directly from a toy section.
