During the climactic battle in Egypt between the Autobots, their human allies and The Fallen's Decepticons, Hightower appeared in a quarry with the other Constructicons before merging into Devastator to attack former Sector Seven agent Seymour Simmons, Leo Spitz, Skids and Mudflap. As Devastator smashed away at the Great Pyramid of Giza after shrugging off Skids and Mudflap, Simmons called upon the United States Navy to fire upon the giant Decepticon. The U.S.S. Kidd fired her experimental railgun, smashing one of his arms to pieces and destroying Devastator. Revenge of the Fallen

Strangely, Hightower's figure in this set is the only one accurate to the Concept art in that he has no designed robot mode.

Merchandise

Burger King

  • Devastator (2009)
An extremely-simplified version of Hightower's vehicle mode is included as part of Burger King Devastator. Though his ball socket is compatible with any of Devastator's limb connections, it's marked with a B to indicate he forms Devastator's left arm. Hightower seems to be the least movie accurate of the four limbs.

Trivia

  • In the ROTF movie, Hightower is already present and unmoving in the valley when the other Constructicons roll up, and we don't actually see him transform until he gets picked up by the forming Devastator. Given that his robot mode was apparently never designed (Which was confirmed by Kris Carter, who did coloring work on the Movie Comic), it is possible that Hightower is actually a perfectly normal non-Decepticon truss crane which was somehow appropriated to form the left arm, possibly to replace the Constructicon which Scalpel ordered torn apart for spares.
