The Wingard is an Autobot booster-vehicle from the Return of Convoy portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Wingard booster allows the Liner Team's Night to traverse virtually any terrain, even sail over the seas or through the air.

Toys

Return of Convoy

  • Sixliner (Micromaster Sixteam, 1991)
    • Japanese ID number: C-370
The Wingard is made up of Sixliner's torso, mounted on either of his footplates to form a towed booster-vehicle. It is technically supposed to attach to the left footplate, since that one has a socket-connector that works with its assigned carrier Night (and any other train-team mold with a peg-style hitch), but naturally it can also use the right footplate with its peg-connector as well.
This mold set was also used to make the equivalent mini-vehicle/body parts of Sixtrain and Universe Rail Racer, though those have yet to be officially named.

Micromaster Collection

  • Leaf (Micromaster, 2002)
    • Sixliner ID number: 4
    • Accessories: Left Sixliner footplate
  • Night (Micromaster, 2002)
    • Sixliner ID number: 6
    • Accessories: Sixliner torso
For Micromaster Collection, the Wingard lost its decals but gained quite a few new pieces of deco in the form of paint operations. Since the team was split up into individual boxes for sale, so too were the combiner kibble pieces; the parts for the Wingard came with Leaf and (of course) Night.

Notes

  • The Wingard's name comes from the much later Micromaster Collection fiction; it was not named in the original Return of Convoy Sixliner instruction booklet. It was also shown to be used by Leaf there, though really only as an example, not a specific assignment. Also also, though the Wingard is mentioned in Night's Micromaster Collection bio, his instructions do not otherwise give any indication that the relevant pieces can be combined and used in that manner.
