McClaren Robotics is am American defense contractor which took the blame for the garbled reports of giant robots seen during the Mission City incident.

It is unclear if they are an actual defense contractor, or a dummy corporation set up by Sector Seven.

Trivia

  • It's possible that McClaren Robotics was originally intended to be named, and even play a role, in the film itself. Ever since July 2008, the official website of actor Steve Tom is listing him as appearing in Revenge of the Fallen[1], even though he isn't actually listed in the film's credits. Back in July 2008, IMDB listed Tom as playing the role of McClaren Robotics' CEO[2], wheras Theiapolis Cinema listed him as the CEO of Massive Dynamics at the same time[3], apparently working name for the same company (which is also used in the novelization of the movie). This was long the first time either company name was mentioned in the context of Revenge.
