I'm going under the assumption here that Armada and Cybertron Thundercracker are the same being. I know this hasn't always been the case with names/identities throughout the Unicron Trilogy, but without any real REASON to assume they're seperate characters I'm going to go with the logical assumption that they're the same character 10+ years appart.
Their Tech-spec #s kind of support this: Things "body based" change between the two, but Intelligence, Rank, and Skill, the three #s that would likely continue for a character between different bodies, all remain the same. ZacWilliam 23:36, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Thundercracker's MTMTE entry pretty decisively differentiates him from the character as seen in the Cybertron cartoon, but the original Armada tech specs are very harmonic with the Cybertron version. It isn't as though comic/cartoon versions of characters haven't differed before. I agree with your conclusion.
Plus it gives Starscream's vaguely disgusted "I look like Thundercracker" line so much more meaning. -65.60.135.99 00:24, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
I'm going to say it here for the first time I'll say it! Of course The tech specs are the same! The Tech Specs for Cybertron characters clearly follow the same narrative and with the same narrative continuity as the Tech Specs for Armada and Energon because clearly as far as toymaking and American Tech Spec writing are concerned, Armada, Energon, and Cybertron make up a Trilogy.
That doesn't confirm any links between the Cybertron and Armada cartoons.
As it is, watching the Cybertron cartoon for the first time I was stuck wondering why earth looked the way it did and why human-Autobot relations were the way there were in that cartoon considering what happened in Armada and Energon. Judging from those factors and how the characters talked I really never ever got the impression that it was the same continuity, and later on, after I stopped watching, it's pretty clear to me that the continuity link-up to put Cybertron into a trilogy with its animated predecessors is retroactive and not very much planned ahead of time!
The toys' Tech Specs should all be harmonic; differences between the toys' personality descriptions and those found in the fiction are not uncommon any more than the discrepancies between the fictions. If we're talking in general than yes the characters are obviously and intentionally the same. If Cybertron is a deliberate follow-up to Energon and Armada I need more convincing. --35.12.24.79 20:49, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
