Black Pyramid

The Black Pyramid is an undersea structure from the Robots in Disguise continuity family.

Even ancient man was into black repaints.

Located on the sea bed off the coast from Metro City, the Black Pyramid is an artificial structure — a Matrix Chamber capable of generating power. The humans have lain an undersea power cable nearby, unaware of the pyramid's potential power.

Fiction

The Predacons parked the Megastar on the side of the Black Pyramid, intending to tap its energy. Unfortunately they were interrupted while gathering power from the nearby power cable by the arrival of Doctor Okasai's scientific vessel, which lowered a diving bell containing Doctor Okasai and Koji Onishi in order to study the pyramid. Sky-Byte and Dark Scream attacked the ship, hoping to avoid drawing attention to their location. Unfortunately for them, Koji was able to call in the Autobots to defend the ship.

Once the Autobots had repaired the ship and Optimus Prime has defeated Sky-Byte, Megatron destroyed the pyramid to prevent anyone else using it. The Hunt for Black Pyramid

Notes

• In Car Robots, it was just a ruin the Predacons were using as cover to tap a nearby oil pipeline. The visuals make it pretty clear they're doing that and not tapping the Pyramid, so why the dub changed it is unknown.
