Nelson Shin

Nelson Shin (申奈舜, b. 1939) is a South Korean animator and animation director. He was the director of The Transformers: The Movie, and is the founder and owner of the AKOM studio. More recently, he recorded a DVD commentary for the movie alongside Susan Blu and Flint Dille.

If you believe him, he created Transformers from scratch.[1]
